符美芸小时候就同音乐结下不解之缘。8岁时已经会自创调子。从小学习弹奏古典钢琴，藴藏的才艺在琴键上爆发开来。分别就读于莱佛士女子小学、莱佛士女子中学及莱佛士初级学院。然后考入新加坡著名的新加坡国立大学就读大众媒体及英国文学。后来她离开新加坡，远赴美国波士顿的包克利音乐学院继续音乐学业，她主修音乐创作及电影配乐，延续她的音乐梦想。
